Telecom students view engineering designsTelecom students were lucky enough to go on an end-of-the year field trip to NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, where they could learn about media coverage of a special event -- and also enjoy experiencing the event.

Telecom Instructor Carl Daniels, Jr. was honored for his work leading the TV students in the production of educational videos for the NASA eClips initiative.

 

student video-recordingThe Telecom crew video-recorded Christopher Newport University's graduation ceremony May 12. It will be produced for DVD, which will be available for CNU families to purchase. Telecom's video was also used for the live shots displayed on the giant LED screens at the ceremony.

They are working as camera crew and TV reporters as part of "Every 15 Minutes," a national program that warns of the dangers of driving while distracted or under the influence of drugs or alcohol.

students video-recordingOnce again, Telecom students covered the VSBA (Virginia School Boards Association) Annual Convention, which was held in Williamsburg November 15-17. The event attracts over 1,000 school board members, superintendents, and school division employees from all over Virginia.
