NASA Langley employees to visit classrooms

NASA Langley Research Center volunteers plan to visit area schools Oct. 8 (or another scheduled date) to educate and inspire students as part of NASA's "Day of Education."  The center is on a mission to bring NASA into 1,000 local classrooms.

School Board meeting Sept. 21

NNPS logoThe next School Board meeting is Tuesday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m. Meetings are held in the administration building auditorium and are open to the public.

School Board meetings are broadcast live on NNPS-TV (Cox channel 47/FiOS channel 17), and can also be seen via the Internet by clicking on the red Webcast promo on the homepage during the broadcast.

 

Fall football: 5 live broadcasts scheduled

The fall football schedule is out, and NNPS-TV (Cox channel 47/Verizon FiOS 17) will broadcast at least one game for each of the five Newport News high schools.  This will be the 20th year that NNPS-TV has televised AAA Peninsula District Football and other prep sports.

You may pick up the DVDs at the Telecommunications Center on Minton Drive next to the Admin building or have them mailed to you at no additional cost.
