Student news

Telecom logoThe TV-I students are working on commercials and PSAs during December.  Next semester, they will begin working on an episode of "What's Newsz?," which is their news package show. The students will choose topics for their segments, and one student will serve as the director.  Students will rotate through various TV studio crew positions to practice for recording the actual show, which will be produced in January.

The TV-II students will complete their commercial/promo project in December as well.  They will also have television studio rotations using the "What's Newsz?" show to keep up their skills in television production.  They will get a chance to direct a show in preparation for the spring semester, when they will produce and direct their own show, which is one of the requirements to receive college credit.
