NNPS-TV promotes STEM initiative with video expertise

They are one of the best ways to show the ideas behind any program and the good work and successes that are achieved. Read more.

Remote crew training gets students ready for season

instructor and student set up cameraNNPS Television Production students jumped into hands-on training even before school started. Every year, students who are enrolled in TV-I or TV-II are invited to attend Remote Video Production Training at the Telecommunications Center the week before school starts. The training helps them achieve proficiencies that are required for their courses, but more immediately it allows them to be part of the crew that produces the high school football games for television. Fall football: See LIVE broadcasts

footballThe 2017 NNPS-TV football season is underway! This fall is the 27th season of NNPS-TV high school football television coverage, and this year the games are being broadcast LIVE. The TV team broadcast the Menchville-Bethel game and have three more Friday-night games to air. Catch them on Cox Channel 47/Verizon FiOS Channel 17. Read more and see the TV schedule.

Watch NNPS awards ceremonies

End-of-the-year ceremonies have been playing on NNPS-TV Cox Channel 47/Verizon FiOS Channel 17 throughout the summer. The final show is the Elementary School STAR Awards, and it is airing through September. Tune in to watch these young students receive recognition for their good works. Read more.

What's showing

Catch the last of the NNPS Awards shows or check out some high school football - live or as a replay. Also showing on NNPS-TV is an excellent series called "100 Years, 100 Events" - don't miss it! Other good choices are "Outrageous Math" and "Shamu TV."

football coachThe September episode of Sports Highlights features Gloucester High School Football: Head Coach John Scalf, Quarterback Isaiah Spencer #11, and Defensive End Cameron Walker #17; and former Virginia Cavaliers Defensive Lineman Melvin Massey. Watch the show on NNPS-TV (Cox 47/FiOS 17) on Mondays at 7 a.m., 2 p.m., and 7 p.m., and weekends at 9 a.m. Online, visit or tune to the NNPS-TV Roku channel during the TV broadcast to see it on the live webstream. The NNPS-TV Video site is another way to watch on demand.

The next School Board Meeting will be Tuesday, September 19 at 6:30 p.m. It will be broadcast live on NNPS-TV (Cox Channel 47/Verizon FiOS Channel 17 ), and it will be re-played at later dates. School Board meetings can also be seen on the live web stream of the channel, or on the NNPS-TV Roku channel's live stream, during the live TV broadcast and the re-plays.
