Social and Emotional Learning (SEL)

Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) is the process through which children and adults acquire the knowledge, attitudes, and skills they need to:

  • recognize and manage their emotions;
  • demonstrate caring and concern for others;
  • establish positive relationships;
  • make responsible decisions; and
  • handle challenging situations constructively.

The lovable characters display typical feelings like fear, loneliness, negativity, boredom, and anxiety, learning to handle them and feel better.

"Spread Kindness (Not Germs)" follows "This Just In," which airs every day at 6 and 8 a.m., noon, and 3 and 6 p.m. "This Just In" is usually 5-10 minutes long.
